Welcome Parents and Children
Hello Parents and Children
Welcome to 'Creative Exploration,' an art class for parents and children to learn to explore with different art mediums in fun interactive ways. Each class will focus on one type of medium, ex. paint, with 5-7 different stations of exploration. Parents will be encouraged to join in and add to the art being created. Kids will learn how to hold pens and pencils, paint brushes, they will learn color, shape, and emotion involved. Classes will have a loose structure for those children that learn at different paces. There will be a huge emphasis on process and exploration not the product. Each class will be photographed with photos posted on the blog for friends and family to see you and your child's art being created. The blog will also let parents and children know what to bring, what to wear and what to expect for the next class.
Classes will run on Thursdays from 10:00 - 10:45 with hopes to expand in Jan. for the second group of 10 weeks. Each program will run for 10 weeks with a registration fee of $80 or you can pay a drop in fee of $10/class. If you wish to drop in for the first class and then decide you are still eligible for the registration fee. 'Creative Exploration' will also be donating $1 per child, each week to the No. 6 mine park community for park upgrades, like swings!!!! Yeah!
Classes will run in Cumberland, the location is still to be announced.
